Let’s go inside the Almudena Cathedral (Santa María la Real de La Almudena) which is a Catholic church in Madrid, Spain.  It is the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Madrid.  The cathedral was consecrated by Pope John Paul II in 1993.

Sitting down on one of the benches, one admires the beauty of the colorful ceiling and the stained glass art. The Neo-Gothic interior is uniquely modern, with chapels and statues of contemporary artists.
